McConnell
Dr. Tamora McConnell is a native of Jackson, MS and a proud product of JPS. She earned her bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism from USM and a Masters in Elementary Education from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. She continued her education at William Carey to earn a Specialist in Instructional Leadership and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Dr. McConnell taught all subjects across the 4th and 5th grades in Forrest County School District and Hinds County School District. She has served as a 5th-grade teacher, interventionist, and currently Instructional Technology Facilitator for Jackson Public Schools. Dr. McConnell is currently in her 10th year as an educator but constantly studying to learn new, innovative ways to help our children. No matter how far away she is from the classroom, she believes in doing what's best for children at all times.
